Korea faces ICU bed shortage for virus patients (바이러스 환자들을 위한 집중침상이 부족)
Korea is facing a shortage of intensive care unit beds (ICU) as the country has been a sharp rise in the number of daily new COVID-19 infections. The health authorities have warned that daily infections could reach 1,000 next week if the country fails to curb the new wave of COVID-19, saying they will take preemptive steps to try and get the resurgence under control. As the number of daily new patients has suddenly become larger, many have been unable to be hospitalized or admitted to facilities immediately but have had to wait for a couple of days. One in four unmarried men and women in Korea plan to remain single, a poll showed Wednesday. 한국의 미혼남녀 네 명 중 한 명 꼴로 결혼하지 않을 것이라고 답했다고 수요일에 한 설문조사 결과가 나왔다.
According to the survey by local job portals Job Korea and Albamon of 1,185 adults in their 20s and 30s on their views on marriage, 83.2 percent said they are positive about not marrying at all. Of 1,025 singles among those surveyed, the portals asked whether they would remain unmarried, and 24.8 percent said yes, while 31.5 percent said they would get married someday and 43.7 percent said they did not know.
